Activities

Our Activity Directors at Leslie Lakes play a vital role in helping each resident feel socially connected to other residents and staff.  The programs scheduled for the residents living at Leslie Lakes are designed to meet their needs on many levels.  This could include physical, spiritual, mental, social and intellectual.  Activities are held seven days a week.

The activity director keeps our residents hopping with monthly birthday parties, religious services, outings which may include fishing, shopping, dining out an other fun excursions.  Our residents enjoy:

Exercise classes Playing dominoes Educational Programs Wine and Cheese Socials Play Wii Games Red Hat Ladies Group Bingo Reading Lotto Celebrate Sporting Events Watching movies Arts and crafts Musical entertainment Decorating Classes
	Celebrate National Days such as Chocolate Mint, Bubble Gum Chewing, Homemade Soup and many others-usually a little history is shared about the special day and food is usually sampled relating to the topic Crossword Puzzles Bible Study Groups Singing Compete in the Nursing Home Senior Olympics Dancing performances Valentine, Mardi Gras, Cinco de Mayo, Christmas and many other special holiday parties Visiting with family and friends in the beautiful courtyard Social & special events

Vounteers who help with our activities are very special and we appreciate all their hard work and dedication to make our resident’s life more meaningful.  Our residents love socializing, so visiting or reading a book with a resident makes all the difference in a person’s life.  We love our volunteers and anyone who is interested can contact the activity directors for more information.  We recognize all of our volunteers yearly with a special time of appreciation during National Volunteer Appreciation  month in April.  Thanks to all our volunteers who make a difference in our residents and staffs life.
